Richard T. Reep is a contemporary American artist who has exhibited in numerous museums and galleries nationwide. He was born in Minnesota in 1960, and his family checked into Tabb’s Seaside Motel in Jacksonville Beach when he was 12. Since then, Reep has maintained an art practice in Florida, with a 2-year hiatus working in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Reep’s installation of mixed media works from three series collectively titled “Past, Present, Future” will be featured at Mills Gallery starting March 13th, 2020. “My current aim,” states Reep, “is to delve into Florida’s soft, hairy underbelly, the pimples and scars riding against its architectural waistband, and make erratic personal statements uncovering truth and beauty concealed in our crapulous built environment.”
Please join us for this opening event March 13th, 6:30-9PM. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
